The Government of Iquique , Chile, confirmed the death of two people during the earthquake of 8.2 degrees on the Richter scale rocked this afternoon north.

Two people died of heart attacks . The deaths occurred in Iquique and Alto Hospicio . The Governor of Iquique, Gonzalo Prieto, confirmed that the two dead men.

Chile's government also ordered to maintain the tsunami alert and the army along with police patrolling the streets of the northern city of Iquique, where more than 300 inmates fled the prison building on the Richter 8.2 earthquake that shook the north.

Un sismo de 4.3 grados en la escala Richter se registró este miércoles, a escasa profundidad, frente a las costas del Océano Pacífico de Nicaragua, sin causar daños, informó el Instituto Nicaragüense de Estudios Territoriales (Ineter).

El temblor ocurrió a las 11:23 locales (17:23 GMT) con epicentro localizado 151 km al suroeste de Corinto, principal puerto del Pacífico nicaragüense, y a una profundidad de 0.2 km, precisó Ineter en un comunicado.

El evento telúrico fue atribuido al constante proceso tectónico de choque entre las placas Cocos y Caribe que atraviesan la región.

No causó ninguna alarma entre habitantes.
